JOB TITLE: Clinical Assessor (Dually Licensed)

JOB DESCRIPTION: Our Assessment Clinician provides clinical assessments and supportive MH & SUD curriculum-based services.

WHAT WE DO: YourPath helps individuals needing substance use and mental health services, aimed at creating a holistic approach to recovery. Our unique software allows us to serve our clients through an ecosystem platform that connects communities and providers with the individuals and families we serve, filling the gaps in treatment systems. Through our innovative software platform and care model we offer a turnkey solution to providing substance use disorder and mental health services.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Must pass background check and have a minimum of two years free of substance use, be a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor licensed in the state(s) of delivery and be Licensed in Mental Health (LMFT, LPCC, LICSW) or working on supervision hours for licensure.

  • Five years of managing, administering, or providing direct service to people struggling with substance use disorder and other co-occurring mental health issues.

  • YourPath needs the Assessment Clinician to demonstrate basic knowledge of or is receiving training related to the following disciplines psychological; physiological, behavioral, mental health issues, theories and substance use disorder treatment, including ethics and aftercare planning using techniques currently in use for the treatment of people who use drugs.

  • Case management including general knowledge of social services and appropriate referrals, record keeping, reporting requirements, confidentiality rules and regulations as well as familiarity with other resources available in the community related to Social Determinants of Health and Treatment for people with SUD and Mental Health Diagnoses.

  • Must be comfortable with all manifestations of relational/family structures, treatment coordination, assessment, diagnostic assessments, including Individual and group counseling, and crisis intervention that apply to clients with SUD and Mental Health Diagnoses.

RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES

  • Conduct Comprehensive Substance Use Assessment and Mental Health Diagnostic Assessments
  • Function as a member of a treatment team.
  • Conduct group activities, individual counseling, and family counseling for clients assigned to him/her.
  • Prepare and deliver lectures related to alcohol/drug problems to the entire client population when requested.
  • Participate in committee works and other appropriate tasks as requested.
  • Participate in annual training as required by State statutes.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

  • The Clinical Assessor shall report to the Clinical Director.

STANDARDS OF JOB PERFORMANCE

  • Agency expects the highest standards of job performance from the Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor as outlined on the performance review.
